It is Mental Health Awareness Week and The One Book journey continues!
We are bringing The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry to Dungannon Library on Thursday 16 May, 6:00pm – 8:00pm (Refreshments will be served from 5:30pm).
Michelle Major, founder of Positive Pathway is a Corporate Coach/Consultant, experienced practitioner and Keynote Speaker in the field of personal development will be the key note speaker for the evening.
Michelle, who grew up in Dungannon, will talk about her own life and her own personal journey in addressing and over–coming life stresses. Visit our Blog to read Michelle’s journey, what she has learnt from her pursuit of happiness and her 6 key ‘stops’ on the happiness roadmap.
She will be followed by Damian Gorman MBE, poet and playwright founding director of An Crann/The Tree, a charity which worked to “help people tell, and hear, the stories of the Troubles”. Damian will read from and promote discussion around ‘The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry’.
Bill McKnight, author of Loud Silence, a collection of poems reflecting on the experience of mental illness will close with personal reflections and remarks from the audience.
We will also be joined by Helen Osborn, Libraries NI Director of Library Services, Phelim Gildernew, Mayor of Dungannon and South Tyrone and Councillor Anne Brolly, Libraries NI Board Member.
